FFCHS Marching Program

TROJAN MARCHING BAND
All wind, percussion and color guard members are eligible to be a part of the Trojan Marching Band during marching season. The Trojan Marching Band is an all-volunteer activity. Students must be enrolled in a primary concert ensemble (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble or Color Guard). The rehearsal demands on students are rigorous, and the highest level of commitment is expected. Performances include all home varsity football games, pep rallies, parades, and marching competitions throughout the season. Please see the schedule for exact dates/times.

COLOR GUARD

The Fountain-Fort Carson Guard is most well known for their contribution to the marching band in the fall. Using rifles, sabers, props, and a wide assortment of flags, the guard provides a fantastic visual effect to the show. All Color Guard members must audition for their position in the Trojan Marching Band, and attend all rehearsals and performances during our competitive season. Color Guard rehearses daily after school with the rest of the marching band. Auditions take place before the end of the school year.

Fountain-Fort Carson High School

Fountain-Fort Carson High School is the flagship traditional high school of its namesake, Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 (FFC8). Located in Fountain, both the high school and the district serve the communities of Fountain and the Fort Carson army installation located nearby. FFC8 has approximately 8,100 students, with about 2,000 of those attending FFCHS. With five schools on Fort Carson (one middle school and four elementary schools), the district is roughly 70% military-connected. FFCHS boasts award-winning programs that include band, JROTC, DECA (marketing), and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Learn more at www.ffc8.org
