About FFCHS
Fountain-Fort Carson High School is the flagship traditional high school of its namesake, Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 (FFC8). Located in Fountain, both the high school and the district serve the communities of Fountain and the Fort Carson army installation located nearby. FFC8 has approximately 8,100 students, with about 2,000 of those attending FFCHS. With five schools on Fort Carson (one middle school and four elementary schools), the district is roughly 70% military-connected. FFCHS boasts award-winning programs that include band, JROTC, DECA (marketing), and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Learn more at www.ffc8.org
FFCHS offers a comprehensive band program that includes concert band, jazz band, winter percussion, winter guard, and marching band to over 300 students. The band program has had significant growth and success over the past four years, expanding from two concert bands and one jazz band to four concert bands, two jazz bands and a jazz combo. The marching program has grown from 62 members in 2018 to over 130 in the upcoming marching band season. The success of the program relies solely on the amazingly dedicated FFCHS band students, wonderful parents, and the incredible administration at the building and district level – without their support, none of this would be possible. The arts, and music in particular, are an important part of the curriculum and culture at FFCHS.
